Our By-Laws:
Please read over prior to filling out our membership form.
"Yes" to:
  • Expressing yourself when recognized at any meeting.  Expressing and reflecting these by-laws and the nature of this group outside of Business Babes for the “good of the group” is welcome.  If you don’t agree with everything, that’s expected and can be a good thing.  This group would be boring if everyone agreed all the time!   However, remember whatever you carry outside this group, will reflect upon local business WOMEN and possibly YOUR business!
  • Competition!  Competitors are welcome within the group.  We realize we are not exclusive with our industries.  We ARE Professional Business Women!
  • Women business owners please.  It’s O.K. if you share your business with a partner, even a male partner, but this groups works to support other women in business!
  • Any money paid towards networking or projects that are supported by this group must come from your business checking account.  Make any checks directly payable to the end vendor.  (This protects you from the IRS!)
  • Keeping the group and Contact Manager informed of any business address or contact information changes or otherwise pertinent information.
  • Attending as many meetings as you can.  Also, you may be needed to assist with a group project from time to time to promote Business Babes.
  • Meeting with the Founding Babes (4) whenever asked, in private, if it is felt that there is an issue with you or someone else not abiding by these bylaws.
  • Sharing your business life and not your personal life!
  • Sharing with the group what you sell and promote, especially new things!
  • If there is a product or service that Business Babes as a group wants to utilize from a Sister Babe, it is acceptable to inform members of her product or service to fulfill the need.  However, if an individual wants to utilize the same service or product from an outside vendor, this is acceptable, as well.  In other words, everyone has a choice.  (The outside vendor must comply with the service or product as deemed necessary by the Business Babe Society has decided).
"No" to:
  • Sharing Political or religious views – Keep your “expressions” to yourself unless the discussion involves local, state or federal issues that directly or in-directly affect our business(s).  Religions are considered personal.
  • Gossiping “Chatty Cathys” about other individuals or businesses.  Remember competition is welcome.  Catty women are not!
  • Male employees or other attending the meetings unless they are the selected speaker or have a direct effect on an issue or topic to be addressed
  • Exchange of money between members at the meetings unless you are purchasing items or services and a receipt is given from the fellow member from their business.
  • Not keeping us informed of any contact information.
  • Never attending meetings, but reaping the benefits of networking or support from the group.
  • Not meeting, when asked, by the founders or directors to reach a needed amicable agreement when any bylaws are felt to be broken or there are issues that compromise the group and its well-being.
  • Not keeping everyone informed of what’s going on with your business, not your personal life!
  • Selling or “pushing” products/services to individual members.
  • A Business Babe utilizing an outside vendor for a product or service that the Business Babe Society as a whole is using, without using the guidelines set forth for the product or service to be uniform with what has been voted on.
