About our Chick Chats:

Each month Business Babes and guests get together for their Chick Chats.  In other words, they get together for their monthly meeting!  All official members are encouraged to bring guests so they can experience what Business Babes Society is all about, and hopefully join the group.

To achieve the goals of building friendships & relationships through networking with an ultimate goal of building our businesses, the Chick Chats follow a format with a “mix” of events. 

Eligibility to Attend: Attend a Chick Chat if you are a sole owner or partner of a woman owned business in Richmond or the close surrounding area(s). 

Location and Times: Chick Chats are currently held at the Central Bank, 350 West Main Street in Richmond, KY (at corner of Main & Lancaster Streets).  They officially begin at 7:00 pm, but everyone can come at 6:30 to network and visit. 

To Become a Members: If you sign up to be a Babe, annual dues are $100 and can be paid quarterly.  For more information, go to Membership Information page.

The Regularly Featured items of our
monthly Chick Chats:
The "Great Dame" of the Month One of our Business Babes members has fifteen minutes at the meeting to present her business, the products or services she offers, her business' history, future goals and encouragement for other babes.
Quarterly Focus Points: Each quarter the Babes choose a focus to present speakers that will offer invaluable information regarding their business, their health and organizing their lives.

2012 Quarterly Focuses:

  • Jan-Mar: Organizing & Planning
  • Apr-Jun: Marketing
  • Jul-Sep: Membership & Networking
  • Oct-Dec: Healthy Lady/Healthy Business
Speaker of the Month The babes invite local experts and speakers to present information on the quarterly focus, which will focus on informative ways to plan, market, organize, and grow their business
Babes on the Spot Each babe and meeting guest have 20-30 seconds to introduce themselves and their business to the group, as well as any exciting news or specials regarding their business.
Networking after the Meeting: Stay after to meeting and greet with other Business Babes. Its a great way to network with other business, pass out your cards, fliers and/or promotions to the other babes.
Diva Dollars: Attendance is not only encouraged, it's rewarded! Every month each of the Babes in attendance will be entered into a drawing to win a $20 gift certificate to a local eatery.
Other Business Babes Features:
Raising Diva Dollars for the Society: We have exciting events, auctions and sales to raise money for our Business Babes Society. Our Auctions are alot of fun, you can bring 5-10 items*, your Diva Dollars to spend (checks accepted), and possibly your favorite beverage (wine or other acceptable!)
 
*Items can be gently used (your good
junk) or new from gifts never used (not I!) or things from your business.   Remember, this is tax deductible!  Get busy and Clean Out!
Martinis & Masterminds:

The babes exchange marketing ideas and promotions to build a new business, as well as their own. The relate their experiences, how to implement their ideas and how they can be beneficial for other businesses.

(Hosted every other month at various locations)
Deals On Heels:
Each month, businesses will advertise their specials, discounts, coupons and sales through our website and our online newsletter. Check back often to view these great buys!

Diva Destinations: Several times a year the Babes plan group trips and events that give the Babes an opportunity to get together and share good times!
Sister Babes: Each quarter each Babe will be assigned to another to offer support, guidance and friendship. They are encourage to check in with their "Sister" by email, phone or have lunch once per month to assist them get what they need from the Business Babes Society.
Babes for a Cause: Our goal is to promote Women in Business. In that spirit, our focus will be to donate to causes that support women that have had a “unfortunate or hard past” that are in need of clothing, shoes and accessories as they are seeking employment. Currently, we look forward to providing support to the Libery House in Richmond, KY.
