About the 7th Annual Chocolate Soiree

Our seventh annual Chocolate Soiree will be in Richmond KY!  Our annual membership  & sponsorship drive  will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.  Doors open at 6pm.

About the Event: 

Women, Men, Business Professionals and Community Leaders are invited for a fun night of networking, door prizes, giveaways, interesting presentations, light refreshments and of course … CHOCOLATE!   

Come meet local business women and our sponsors to learn more about Business Babes Society and what we are doing to support small business in our community.  This networking event is also open to anyone in business, male or female, that would like to learn more about Business Babes Society, as a member and/or a sponsor.  Organizational sponsors help us to be able to do more within the community.  

There is a $5 registration fee and free parking.  Don’t miss it and bring a friend!  Pre-registration is recommended because space is limited.

About the Presentation:  Wonder Women- Power of Resilience

We are all WONDER WOMEN! This year we are featuring not one, not two, but THREE influential speakers.  These women will discuss some of the obstacles that they have faced throughout their careers.  Spanning across different generations, locations, and backgrounds, their stories are sure to inspire us all. Their journey's confirm that through the Power of Resilience we are able to succeed! 

About our Guest Speakers:

Kaylan Query – Founder & President of LexEffect.

At a young age, Kaelyn found a passion for event planning and management. Starting her business at age 14, she never dreamed this could become a 'real job'. LexEffect has rapidly grown, producing events of all types across the country, with a continued focus for supporting non-profit organizations. Kaelyn, a Lexington native, graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Communications, and Marketing Management - she was named a 'Rising Star' from Lexington Young Professionals Association in 2014, the 'Rookie of the Year' in BNI in 2015, and was awarded the Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Commerce Lexington for the Salute to Small Business awards in 2016. 

Vera Thomas - Certified Classroom Management Training and Business Consultant & Author

Vera Thomas relocated to Lexington Dec. 29, 2011.  Vera is a Certified Classroom Management Training and Business Consultant/Mediator and Coach.  She provides training in education and business designed to value and appreciate the most valuable asset; its people.  Teambuilding, conflict management, effective communications, motivation and individual coaching are a few of the services offered.                                                               With a MA in Organizational Management; Vera’s work as a facilitator, trainer spans over more than three decades and includes developing training programs for companies, adults, youth and individuals.  Her career includes consulting and training in the areas of business, education, customer service, personal and career development, and community based organizations.  Her avocation includes working with youth, public speaking, and poetry.

Anna Foultz – Co-Founder and President of tar Charities  &  the Oldest active Girl Scout

Anna Foultz is currently the CoFounder and President of Star Charities, the oldest active Girl Scout, and a long-time columnist for the Ocean Pines Independent. She has been involved in community service since she was 10 and planned a talent show fundraiser for her school. She found her entrepreneurial path in the 8th grade when she was forced to drop out of school to work at her father's restaurant during the Great Depression. During World War II she worked in a shirt making sweatshop factory sewing cuffs to sleeves by day and sewing supplies for the war by night. She was married to her war time hero, Carl Foultz (deceased)  for 64 1/2 years. During that time she had four children, 10 grand children, and 5 great-grand children, and moved all over the US following his government career.  In every location, she made an impact through starting businesses, creating youth programs, serving her community, and Girl Scouting. Anna has received numerous meritorious awards at the State, Regional, and National levels. Her most recent awards include a plaque in the Girl Scouts USA Museum in Houston, TX , the Worchester County's Most Beautiful Person honor, and the prestigious Order of the Sons of Italy of America 2016 Ameritan Award including an engraved brick in the Giamologna Medici Museum of Art in New York, NY. She has recently co-authored her autobiography which has an expected publish data of October 2017.
